Former Top Gear presenter Chris Evans will not face charges over the alleged sex assault of a female colleague.
The star, aged 50, had been accused of bullying the woman ‘after she rejected advances’. The historic accusation that he had grabbed her breasts related to the 1990s.
But after he was interviewed this afternoon, the Met Police said there was a lack of evidence so have dropped the investigation.
Mr Evan’s agent Michael Foster said the ‘complaint has been investigated and fails to meet evidential test to warrant any further action’.
Earlier this month, he described the allegations as a ‘witch hunt’ and said it had been devastating to his family.
